Minimize Copernicus Users

Copernicus (previously known as GMES) is a user driven programme led by the European Commission (EC), with the aim to provide, on a sustainable basis, reliable and timely services related to environmental and security issues in support of public policy makers' needs. In the programmatic context, ESA is responsible for the Copernicus Space Component (CSC), to ensure comprehensive and sustainable supply of data from space-based earth observation missions from ESA, National and other Third Party Missions responding to the needs of Copernicus Users.

The Copernicus Space Component delivers data access services (CSCDA Services) only to eligible Copernicus Users, as defined by the EC. User's eligibility and license signature are two prerequisite for the access to Copernicus EO data.
