Minimize About CSCDA

The European Space Agency coordinates the implementation and the operations of the Copernicus Space Component as defined in the Agreement with the European Union, in particular the Agency coordinates the access to space-based observation data from Sentinels as well as Copernicus Contributing Missions in support to Copernicus Services and other users.

Based on the Datawarehouse requirements issued by the European Commission, ESA organises the procurement of Earth Observation data from a series of Contributing Missions and publishes the resulting data offer into the Data Access Portfolio (DAP).

A single access point to the offered datasets and services is implemented through the Coordinated Data Access (CDS) system that is undergoing a major upgrade to integrate the Sentinel dedicated missions.

The CSC-Data Access project is funded by the European Union and the European Space Agency as an integral part of the GMES/Copernicus Space Component Programme. The project has received funding from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme FP7/2007-2013 and the Multiannual Financial Framework Programme (MFF).
