Within this section, you can find the most frequently asked questions (and their answers) about the Terms & Conditions for Use of EO Data from the GSC-DA.

Who shall sign the license?

Unless the Service Project has opted for a single signature by the Project Coordinator, the license has to be signed by the Legal Representative of each company member of the Consortium that shall receive primary or altered products from the GSCDA.

What are the fields to be completed in the form?

The form shall include:

  • On the first page, a table where to identify the CORE datasets the User wants to access (specifying user category and usage type)
  • On the second page, the name of the Company for which the document is signed
  • On the last page, the Company name and below the signature, the identification of the person signing the license and the Service Project he/she belongs to (Land Monitoring Core Service, Marine Core Service, Emergency Response Core Service, Security Pilot Core Service, etc). In addition, the FP7 project ID if applicable.

If our Beneficiary Company is involved in more than one GSP can we sign only one license?

You may sign one single license, provided the information to be included in the table on the first page is unique to all Projects.

Can we send back only the last page of the document?

It is required that you sent back the entire document.

How shall the signed license be delivered?

The preferred method is to return the document duly signed, in PDF format, via electronic mail, to the ESA GMES Services Coordinated Interface (SCI) - (+44 1252 362 136, Email: gmesdata@esa.int).
The alternative is to send it via FAX to the following number: (0044 1252 375016 (addressed to SCI Operator ) or via post to the following address: ( GMES Services Coordinated Interface (SCI) ESA service operated by Infoterra Limited, Europa House, The Crescent, Southwood, Farnborough Hampshire, GU14 0NL United Kingdom) but this should be avoided if possible.
