DEIMOS Imaging has successfully finalized the development activities for interfacing the DEIMOS-1 Ground Segment with the Coordinated Data Access System (CDS). These activities complete the ones undertaken in the previous development phase (V1 Phase completed in 2011) as well as the HMA early developments that have been customized for the GSCDA needs.
One of the main outcomes of this activity is that users will be able to browse through DEIMOS-1 collections via the GMES client. In addition, automated HMA ordering interface coupled with the CDS emergency satellite tasking tool is supported, together with improved metadata exchange and reporting to CDS.
The new features are expected to further reduce manual operations and improve overall system performances and integration.
"It has been a hard and complex task. But, thanks to ESA support and responsiveness, we have successfully implemented the new interface. Now, we are part of the GSCDA GCMs family. The new and dedicated GSCDA Interface with CDS will allow DMI to serve DEIMOS-1 data to GSPs in a timely and efficient way.” Alberto Fernández - GSCDA Part A Manager, DEIMOS Imaging
