The Coordinated Data Access system (CDS) V1.3 has been transferred to operations. The Operations Readiness Review has been held in ESRIN on April 20th.
GSCDA operations had been started at the end of 2008 relying on existing ESA infrastructure modules. CDS V1.3 is the first release of a GSC coordination integrated system: it relies on preliminary versions of the Core Infrastructure component, the Service Projects Coordinated Interface component and of the Service Performance Analysis and Reporting component. The system supports semi-automated interfaces for products and metadata exchanges with the available GMES Contributing Missions , thus partially releasing operations of the CDS operations team and improving overall system integration. CDS V1.3 marks a step ahead towards the finalized baseline release (CDS V2.0) envisaged for Autumn 2010.
