09 August 2010 - For all users of GOME Level 2 products, the HDF5 format has been considered the standard since 2004. From the end of the year 2010 it will no longer be possible to retrieve GOME Level 2 data in the old format, [LVL2]. For those users who are unfamiliar with the HDF5 format for the Level 2 products, the BEAT tool [http://www.stcorp.nl/beat/] can be used to read the GOME HDF5 files.
