28 June 2010 - Due to an anomaly during the implementation of the ECMWF model update this week, the forecast and analysis surface pressure grids; which are used to calculate atmospheric range corrections, were degraded from June 22 to June 23.
The problem has been corrected and the Met files data have returned to their nominal quality. The corrupted analysed Met files have been reprocessed and redelivered.
As a consequence, the impacts on altimetric products are listed below:
- for ENVISAT, as we stopped the IGDR production as soon as the problem on Met data occurred, no corrupted IGDR products have been processed.
We only have a delivery delay:
the IGDR for day June 22 has been produced on June 25 (delay=1 days).
the IGDR for day June 23 has been produced on June 25 (no delay).
No impacts are foreseen on GDR products.
