IRS-P6 Resourcesat-1

The Indian Remote Sensing Satellite IRS-P6 Resourcesat-1 has been successfully launched into polar orbit on October 17, 2003.

The satellite carries three cameras.
The LISS-IV camera, mainly operated in monochromatic mode, provides 5.8 m spatial resolution over a swath of 70 km.
The LISS-III camera provides 23 m spatial resolution in 4 bands over a swath of 140 km.
The AWiFS camera with 60 m special resolution and 4 bands covers a swath of 740 km and has a repetivity of 5 days.
