How to Access GSC Data

Below is a schematic description of the GMES user data access:

For an overview of useful information on how GSPs can access data and services please follow the link. If you have any further enquiries please direct them to the SCI Team.

Data Access

Online

Datasets are disseminated to the GSPs either directly from the GCMs, when stringent time delivery applies (e.g. for emergency mapping), or in most other instances via the CDS Coordinated Infrastructure (CDS-CI). The online data access system (ODA) allows almost all ordered data to be available from a single location meaning projects can be built into cumulative datasets with various delivered products all being accessable from the same application. By using the ODA both the GCMs and service projects can be fully integrated into the GMES system.

The GSCDA disseminates the data electronically to the users via on-line data availability at the GSCDA (CDS or GCM) pick-up point

Further to this there is the GMES CLient (GCL - EOLI-SA in "GMES User Mode"), an online catalogue tool that allows users to browse all previously collected data ordered through the GSCDA service. Data is organized by dataset and by mission. Selected products can be downloaded by the GMES user authorized to access the dataset (either as the originator of the requirement or via subscription). Click on the "GMES User" icon and login with your UM-SSO/GSP personal area account.

More information is available in the GCL user manual, downloadable from the EOLi website.

Media Delivery

DVDs or Hard Disk are only used in case large volumes of data are involved (i.e. for delivery of large coverages).
