The GSCDA data and services are accessible in the form of DataSets, which are pre-defined collections of coherent mono- and multi-mission product.
These DataSets have been derived from the requirements of the GMES Service Projects, optimised for re-use across Services Projects and within the available Project funds and after trading-off with the overall system capacity.
Access to the DataSets will be granted to the GMES Service Projects, the method of access depend on their characteristics (whether on-demand or systematic). Access points are published in this website as the DataSets are made available. For more information, please contact the CDS Services Coordinated Interface at gmesdata@esa.int.
Datasets are disseminated to the GSPs either directly from the GCMs, when stringent time delivery applies (e.g. for rapid mapping), or via the CDS Coordinated Infrastructure (CDS-CI) . The latter case is selected when cumulative datasets are built by the CDS, for instance when datasets are the cumulative result of different products from several EO missions (e.g. carpet mapping of Europe).
The GSCDA disseminates the data electronically to the users in different ways: Via terrestrial network, including:
Moreover, authorized users are able to directly browse the GSCDA on-line catalogue and download products from the GSC Coordinated Archive, containing all DAP datasets accumulated to date.
The tool allows users to browse the EO products stored in the CDS Core Infrastructure provided they have been circulated with the appropriate reports (or reprocessed by the CDS) and catalogued. Data is organized by dataset and by mission. Selected products can be downloaded by the GMES user authorized to access the dataset (either as the originator of the requirement or via subscription).
User accounts are company specific and are provided on-request by the CDS-SCI (gmesdata@esa.int).
More information is available in Top level ICD for GSPs [OSME-GSCDA-SEDA-IS-08-0017; V2.4] and in the GCL user manual, downloadable from the EOLi website.

DVDs or Hard Disk are only used in case large volumes of data are involved (i.e. for delivery of large coverages).
